Amid a shifting landscape for the global wine industry, ProWein 2025 is gearing up to welcome nearly 5,000 exhibitors from over 65 countries and 140 wine regions in Düsseldorf, Germany, from March 16 to 18. This event, regarded as the leading international trade fair in the sector, promises to be a beacon of innovation and hope for an industry facing unprecedented challenges.
Toral Wines and Spirits at the show: Strengthening relationships and showcasing innovative products
In 2025, Toral Wines and Spirits will join forces with Viña Casa Donoso at Hall 12 D130 Booth I-11. There, we will connect with our partners and retailers while sharing special gifts from one of our favorite events of the year, the Miami Open Tennis Tournament.
Adaptation and innovation: The keys to the future of winemaking
Additionally, Peter Schmitz, director of ProWein, emphasizes that “the current challenges for the wine and spirits industry are truly extreme, and all stakeholders must adapt to the changing market conditions.” In this context, the fair will focus on four fundamental areas: new marketing strategies, technology implementation, adaptation to evolving consumer preferences, and sustainability.
A more compact and focused format
This year, ProWein has opted for a more efficient design. “We have moved away from the wide aisles that were so important during Covid times and returned to normality. This means we now have two fewer aisles,” explains Schmitz. The products of approximately 5,000 exhibitors will be distributed across eleven halls, allowing for “shorter distances and a more concentrated range.”
Trends that will shape 2025
Among the standout trends for this edition, Schmitz highlights:
- The rise of non-alcoholic beverages: “The no- and low-alcohol sector, which has grown by more than 50% this year, is making a big impact. In a market that is shrinking in many areas, such alternatives are invaluable.”
- Artificial intelligence in viticulture: AI is transforming pruning techniques in vineyards, with the potential to revolutionize wine production by enhancing both quality and sustainability.
- Alternative packaging: These solutions will continue gaining traction in response to environmental concerns and shifting consumer preferences.
Casa Donoso: Chilean tradition with international reach
Within the framework of this major international fair, it is worth highlighting the presence of wineries like Casa Donoso, which represents Chilean winemaking excellence on the global stage. With a well-established reputation for producing high-quality wines, Casa Donoso has positioned itself as a benchmark for South American viticulture.
Its wines, crafted from grapes grown in the privileged Maule Valley, embody the perfect blend of tradition and innovation that defines the world’s finest wineries. The brand has successfully adapted to market trends without losing its essence, offering a portfolio that ranges from premium wines to more accessible options—all marked by the signature quality that characterizes Casa Donoso.
For ProWein 2025 attendees interested in discovering the best of Chilean winemaking, Casa Donoso’s wines present a unique opportunity to explore the flavors and aromas that have positioned Chile as one of the most respected producers in the Southern Hemisphere.
