Düsseldorf, Germany, once again became the heart of the global wine industry with the celebration of ProWein 2025, held from March 16 to 18. This event, recognized as the leading fair in the sector, was packed with novelties, trends, and opportunities for wine and spirits professionals.
At this fair, Toral Wines & Spirits participated alongside Viña Casa Donoso and had the chance to explore new trends and packaging in the industry.
We were captivated by the interest shown during the fair in our wines aged in liquor barrels: bourbon, tequila, and rum.
We also had the opportunity to connect with partners from around the world at the Chateau Tanunda stand from Barossa Valley, Australia. Additionally, we noticed significant activity in Hall 5 and 7 for spirits, where major brands presented innovative products.
Finally, compared to the 2023 and 2024 editions, we also observed a higher presence of European trade professionals and a lower number from the USA and Latin America.
Noteworthy trends and innovations
Focus on sustainability: ProWein 2025 placed special emphasis on sustainability, with many exhibitors showcasing wines and spirits produced in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Low-alcohol and non-alcoholic wines: The growing demand for healthier options was reflected in the increased presence of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic wines, as well as “low cost” and “ultra-premium” beverages.
Digitalization and e-commerce: ProWein 2025 addressed the impact of digitalization on the industry, with spaces dedicated to e-commerce, virtual reality, and other emerging technologies.
Wines of origin: There was significant representation of wines from specific regions, with special focus on emerging areas and native grape varieties.

An innovation that captured attention by connecting with the younger audience, who are keen on new projects from modern and bold brands. Our partners in various countries strive to stay relevant in the eyes of their distributors and retailers.
Hospitality Series Chardonnay: An Innovative Wine for New Consumers
